Set up the badge in the frontend
The badge is the visible label on the image. By default it only carries the level with evidence — displaying a guess publicly would be exactly the made-up certainty this plugin does not deliver.
Setting it up
- Open “Kakapo Media” and choose “Badge” on the left.
- Check that “Output badge” is switched on — it is on by default.
- Under “Labeled levels” and “Places on the front end”, use “Select” to set which levels are labeled and where.
- Set “Position on the image”, “Style” and, if needed, “Custom text”.
Custom text or translated sentence
If the text field stays empty, the badge uses the translated sentence that matches the level. A text you enter, on the other hand, stays the same in every language — that is your decision, not ours.
The badge sits as markup next to the image in the page's HTML. The image file itself is not touched for this. With page caching switched on, the change only becomes visible once the cache has been cleared.
