Widgets

A sidebar has an audience too.

Show or hide individual widgets on the front end depending on the role — for the notice box that only concerns the editorial team, or the sign-in block that signed-in visitors no longer need. As with the menu: this is a view, not a lock.

All seven plugins included in the lifetime deal — every future one too.

FAQ about widgets

My theme shows no widgets — why?
Block themes use blocks instead of widgets. There is no such control for those, and the section says so.
Is a hidden widget really gone?
From the output, yes. As with the menu it is a view: data behind it is protected only by a capability.
Does this work in the block editor too?
No. The control takes hold in the theme’s classic widget areas.
