Title & meta description

You decide what the search preview says.

A template defines how every title is put together: %title%, a separator of your choice, %sitename%. The description comes from a default or straight from the post. If both are missing, the excerpt takes over — and it leaves out blocks that only logged-in visitors are allowed to see.

FAQ on Title & Meta description

What do the placeholders mean?
%title% stands for the title of the post, %sitename% for the name of the website and %sep% for the character in between. Which character that is, you decide yourself.
What happens if I do not enter a description of my own?
Then the default description is used. If that is empty too, the text comes from the post's excerpt.
Can protected content end up in the search preview?
No. When the excerpt is generated, blocks that belong only to logged-in visitors are skipped. What should stay internal stays internal.
